Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee Vacancy

We currently have one vacant committee position, and we are looking to fill this position with a qualified community member. If you are a community member who can serve in the both the Parent/Guardian of a child enrolled in District AND active in a parent/teacher organization (i.e. PTA, PTO, School Site Council, etc), we encourage you to apply.

Per Education Code Section 15272, the CUSD Board of Education will appoint a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to ensure Measure H funds are spent as promised and specified and for no other purpose.

If you are interested in serving on the Cupertino Union School District’s Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee, please complete and submit an online application.

Welcome to the Measure H Bond Program website!

On June 5, 2012, voters residing within the Cupertino Union School District passed Measure H. Measure H is a $220 million bond measure that authorizes funding for needed repairs, upgrades, and new construction projects to the District’s schools. Proposition 39 required a 55% supermajority for approval; Measure H was passed by 66.16%.

This School Repair Measure Will:

  • Fix leaky roofs
  • Upgrade earthquake and fire safety systems
  • Remove potentially hazardous materials from old school structures
  • Keep schools clean and well-maintained
  • Update science labs, computers and educational technology, so our students are prepared for the 21st-century
  • Accommodate student growth by providing additional classrooms
